I haven’t driven one and would probably prefer manuel, but the PDKs are supposed to be excellent. That being said, I know a guy with one who keeps having tons of issues with his. Three diffs since January, one whole transaxle replacement, and his transmission just failed again. He’s always at the track and he’s fast, so the car gets plenty of abuse, but it’s a Porsche. It’s supposed to do that.

I still like it PDK is the best of the dsg’s that I have driven, but personally I need the 3rd pedal.

Only way it would be better is if it was white instead of blue. I love that white with black wheel contrast.

if 996=turbo and rs4/s4=avant, then I am in COMPLETE agreement.

Yes, sure. Both manual also.

PDK is fantastic but a car like the Cayman does truly shine with a manual.

Dude, PDK is not a bad thing.

Sadly no RS4 avants made it to the states aside from a few B5s imported via gray market. The B7s we got were all sedans. They were all 6spd though.

There’s 3 in CO that I have seen with my own eyes, 2 silvers and a nogaro. The nogaro, (pic below) was recently listed on CL for $75k, pretty cp price but the guy has absolute rarity on his side.
i took that pic at a meet Fall of ‘13

A: It is a Sapphire Blue 981 Cayman S with the 3.4 L engine. That should be ‘enuff said.’
B: It still has a clutch, actually two of them, even if there is no pedal... and it shifts faster than a driver can... no loss of performance, and still feels racy to drive... not sluggish to respond like a “slush box” hydraulic torque-converter automatic. (old tiptronic)
